You Only Live Twice: Part 1

What time we meeting then? Kerk read. He was talking to Amy through MSN on the computer.  
I dunno it’s up to you. Come to mine at whatever time. He typed back.
All right I’ll come to yours at 9 in the morning yeah? Amy replied.
9??? I thought we were going up town not joining the army!
What’s the matter with 9?
I’m still asleep at that time!
Well tough I’m coming round at 9. You better be ready!

Good. Just gonna be us two yeah?
Yep. I gotta go now I’ll see you tomorrow at 11.

   The next day Amy and Kerk were walking into town. “It’s flipping freezing! I could still be in bed watching Maury! But noooo we had to come at 9!” Kerk whined.
“Quit whinging we’re there now. See, the place is just about empty; it’s good that we came at 9” Amy said. “Where do you wanna go?”
“I dunno. Anyway that’s warm. IT’S COLD!”
“How about we go to the toy shop? Not been in there since we was little”
Amy dragged Kerk into the shop and wandered around looking at the old fashioned toys. “Hey, Amy look! I remember these. It’s those Chinese finger trap things” Kerk said, grabbing one.
“If you get your fingers stuck, I’m not helping you out”
“They won’t get stuck don’t be such a drama queen…uh-oh”
“Fingers stuck?” Amy grinned.
“Nooo!” Kerk insisted, trying to pull the finger trap off with his teeth.
“Come here, I’ll get it off” Amy said. “You’re meant to push it or something like that” after a few seconds Amy managed to get it off. “Now leave it alone” She said throwing onto the shelve.
“It’s nearly Halloween soon” Kerk said, jumping on Amy’s back. “Let’s go to the costumes!”
“Get off! Your not actually going trick-or-treating are you?”
“No. I thought we were having a party”
“We are. So why look at the costumes?”
“Because it’s fun! Lighten up, you boring bastard”
Kerk dragged Amy to the costumes. She wandered off to look at the masks while Kerk went to see the costumes. He went round a corner and bumped into Lisa Motou. “Oh…sorry I didn’t see you” Kerk said.
“It’s alright” Lisa smiled.
“What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I’m getting Halloween presents for my brother and sisters”
“Doing anything special on Halloween?”
“No nothing really. What about you?”
“I’m having a mini party with my friend”
“Sounds like fun”
Just then Amy came around the corner and grabbed Kerk by the shoulder. “There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” She glared at Lisa. “What are you talking to her for?” She dragged Kerk away, doing her best to barge into Lisa as hard as hard as she could.
“She’s nice! You should give the girl a chance” Kerk said as she dragged him out of the shop.
“I don’t care! I don’t like her!” Amy said.
“Your worse then your dad sometimes!”
“I’m nothing like him” Amy laughed. “My mum left him ages ago! He’s out of my life. I wasn’t that close to him anyway, past or present”
“What? When? I’m only finding out about this now?!” Kerk said, stopping in the street. He stopped so suddenly a little girl that was walking behind him walked into him.
“I thought you knew” Amy said stopping aswell.
“Of course I didn’t. Nobody tells me anything! You should know that by now”
“Well it doesn’t matter anyway. So where do you want to go?”
   They wandered around all the shops for a few hours, on one the crowded streets Amy jumped onto Kerk’s back.
“Ow! What are you doing?!”
“I can see that Lisa girl” Amy said looking over the heads of other people.
“How do you know it’s her?”
“How can you NOT know? You can see that stupid hair of her’s for miles”
“Says the one with white hair. Or is it grey?” Kerk smirked.
“It’s neither! It’s light brown but I dye it black!” Amy said, pulling Kerk’s own black hair.
“Ow! Piss off!”
“Walk faster! Rainbow hair’s getting away!”
“Who?”
“Lisa you idiot!”
“Oh. Leave the poor girl alone. And get off I’m getting back ache!”
“Why? Do you love her or something?” Amy smiled and got off his back.
“No…”
“Bullshit” Amy laughed.
“I don’t! Can we go home now? My feet kill!”
“Yeah let’s go”
“Come to my house. I think my mum said your mum was gonna be there. And plus I want gossip!”
“On what?”
“Your parents splitting up, idiot”
“There’s not much gossip. You could see it happening anyway”
“I didn’t, I thought they were happy”
“Your joking right? Let’s get the bus home. I’m too lazy to walk”
“Me too and it’s getting dark”
   They both went to the bus station and boarded onto a bus. They were the only ones on it. Amy got out her phone to see if anyone had texted or rung her.
“Any gossip?” Kerk said looking over her shoulder.
“No. Denise texted that that stupid Jaden boy ran right into a lamppost. But you can’t really call that gossip”
“Nothing she says is gossip. I hate Jaden anyway”
“Let’s have a picture of us two” Amy said and put her arm around Kerk’s shoulders and took a few pictures with her phone.
“Stop sticking your tongue out!” She complained, while Kerk laughed.
